Partners
Meet the organizations at the forefront of men’s health.

With the support of our partners, we bring the Mid-Michigan community knowledge of men’s health with the goal of improving men’s health outcomes:
Preventable Deaths are too Common
On average, men die 5-6 years earlier than women, often from preventable conditions like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer. Many of these deaths could be avoided through early detection and regular screenings- exactly what Men’s Health 1st promotes through our Know Your Numbers campaign, Built For Life education series, and other community events.
Men Underutilize Healthcare Services
Men are less likely to visit the doctor or report symptoms early. Cultural norms and stigma often discourage men from prioritizing health until it is too late. With the help of our partners, we normalize preventative care through education, advocacy, and approachable community events like Pancakes and Prostates and our health symposiums.
Men’s Health Impacts Families and Communities
When men stay healthy, families remain stronger- physically, emotionally, and financially. Fathers and male role models influence household habits and youth behavior.
Economic and Workforce Stability
Poor men’s health contributes to lost productivity, absenteeism, and higher healthcare costs. A healthier male workforce means a stronger economy, improved workplace performance, and reduced public health burden.
Mental Health and Social Well-Being
Men face increasing rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide, yet rarely seek help. Promoting open conversations around mental health reduces stigma and encourages treatment.
